Genesis 31:48-53
What does it mean “the fear of Isaac” (Genesis 31:42)?
It’s the constant understanding that God is watching you (Isaiah 8:13).
We should always feel an invisible witness – the God. He sees all our ideas, feelings and our deeds. For this reason we must always be responsible standing in front of God.
The reason why people do not want to reform (change) themselves is the lack of this responsibility, the lack of God’s fear. Psalms 36:1-3. Jeremiah 2:19-20.
That we were pure, it’s compulsory that firstly our ideas, feelings were pure. That it came into reality; we must always feel God’s presence. Proverbs 16:6. Jeremiah 32:40 /part 2. 2 Chronicles 19:7.
Safe time for us could be only when the God’s fear would be a treasure for us (Isaiah 33:6). After the God’s fear follows the spiritual treasures and glory, and life (Proverbs 22:4).
Success could be only in that way what is done in God’s fear. It means to have the sense of responsibility standing in front of God (2 Corinthians 5:11, part 2).
In fact the raise of morality of human being is possible only when he/she believes in God. The intention to moral purity would not be just external (in deeds, work), but it is also in the ideas, feelings that are the basic. “Those who follow the right path fear the Lord; those who take the wrong path despise him (Proverbs 14:2)”.
Joseph didn’t revenge his brothers (Genesis 50:19). These, who are doing evil, are not afraid of God. “ Be afraid of God and those who are not afraid of Him”.
